Simi Valley Information

Simi Valley is located in the southeast corner of Ventura County, California, bordering the San Fernando Valley. The city is perhaps best known as the home of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, the largest of the twelve federally funded presidential libraries. Home to many changing temporary exhibits, the library also contains a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, Air Force One, and a piece of the Berlin Wall.

In Simi Valley there are two main areas of industry, machinery and tools with approximately seventy firms, and the metal industry with over fifty firms, both situated in the city’s industrial areas. Other industries such as lumber/wood products, food, plastic products, apparel/textiles and minerals, are also largely concentrated in these industrial areas.

One of the city’s largest employers is Bank of America, which acquired Countrywide Home Loans whose headquarters was located in Simi Valley. Some of the other major employers in the are include Kaiser Permanente, Slpjobs.com, Amgen, Pizza Hut - Yum! Brands, Inc., and Time Warner.
